Towards the Future, Innovation-by-Innovation
In the development and continuous optimization of its own product portfolio, OBO Bettermann set themselves high quality standards regarding the innovation-centered outlook of their product concepts. Consequently, they have the same expec- tations of their suppliers and business partners. For years, OBO Bettermann has been utilizing a system for Product Information Management (PIM) and Media Asset Management (MAM). However, while the company grew as time went by, this system barely managed to meet the minimum conditions to keep up. In the light of the innovation and future centered focus, however, it was foreseeable that switching to a state-of-the-art system would soon become inevitable in order to continue to move with the times. There’s a multitude of examples for this: For instance, the old system lacked built-in Data Quality Management functions (DQM), modern import and export functionalities for the newest data formats to maintain compatibility to and active information exchange with third-party systems, as well as a comprehensive workflow for managing product data automatically. Accordingly, OBO Bettermann looked out for a partner who can deliver those required PIM and MAM solutions.
